Loss of partners in US not to stop Kaspersky Lab from work there

MOSCOW, Oct 13 (PRIME) -- Russian antivirus software maker Kaspersky Lab will continue to offer its cybersecurity solutions to U.S. consumers, the company said on Friday in response to reports that another U.S. retailer has rejected its products.

Kaspersky Lab will offer its products in the U.S. via its Web site and retail chains, a company official said.

Bloomberg earlier reported that U.S. company Staples is the latest retailer to stop selling anti-virus software made by Kaspersky Lab, which is allegedly linked to Russian spy agencies.

The antivirus firm’s head Yevgeny Kaspersky said earlier that the U.S. market is strategic, and the company has no intention to leave it because of Washington’s ban for state entities to use its products.
